It is not possible for an organization to serve all the customers. The right customer must be served in right manner.  STP is a set of interrelated procedures which help the marketers to find out the right customer.

STP Process
Segmentation :- Meaning full and identifiable division of the market
Targeting :- Choosing the right division (segment) to be operate.
Positioning :- Rank the offerings (product) in the mind of the target division (segment)
Differentiation :- Craft the market offering with those serving attributes which distinguish you from other operative organization in the same segment.
